PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hair dye composition having excellent hair-dyeing properties, adhesivity to the hair and compatibility free from dripping in application and providing the hair with excellent touch. SOLUTION: This hair dye is characterized in that the hair dye comprises (A) an acrylic acid-based water dispersion polymer, (B) an aromatic alcohol and/or lower alkylene carbonate and (C) a direct dye.
