PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for homogeneously, simply and efficiently manufacturing a woody cement plate having recesses on one surface. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the woody cement plate 1 having recesses 5 on the one surface comprises the steps of disposing a plurality of partition plates 8 at predetermined positions, scattering a raw material to form mat layers 4A, 4B, then removing the material existing on the plates 8 to form mats 4A, 4B having the original recesses 5A at the predetermined positions, pressing an upper siae mold plate 7 having a protrusion VA corresponding to the recesses 5A from above the mats 4A, 4B formed in this manner, and curing it. In this method, since the plurality of the plates 8 are disposed at the predetermined positions, the material is scattered to form the layers 4A, 4B, then the material existing on the plates 8 are removed to form the original recesses 5A at the predetermined positions, a boundary between the recesses 5A and the other part is sharp. Since the layers 4A, 4B having a uniform thickness can be formed, the plate 1 having the recesses 5 on the one surface can be homogeneously, simply and efficiently manufactured.
