METHOD OF PRODUCING RESIN-COATED CARBON BLACK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing resin-coated carbon black which has a high light-shielding percentage and low surface reflectivity and therefore can provide a thin black matrix. SOLUTION: This method of producing the resin-coated carbon black comprises adding a resin emulsion or a resin solution to a carbon black dispersion formed by dispersing carbon black into a dispersion medium so that the dispersed carbon black attains a particle diameter of <=20μm, and mixing to coat the surface of the carbon black with the resin.
