PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pachinko island base utilizing ability of a high-speed JC even when a great number of pachinko balls are returned to the high-peed JC. SOLUTION: A diverting mechanism 70 is communicated with independent two systems of collecting passages, and one collecting and lifting passage is constructed of a first collection gutter passage 62 and a first ball lifting device 50, while the other collecting passage is constructed of a second collection gutter passage 63 and a second ball lifting device 51. In this way, a great number of pachinko balls discharged from a ball counting and returning device 13 can be quickly fed to upper tanks 2, 3 via the independent two systems of collection passages 62, 63 even when the ball counting and returning device 13 capable of counting balls at high speed is installed in a pachinko island base 1, so that ability of the ball counting and returning device 13 can be sufficiently utilized. In the case of occurrence of a trouble in the ball lifting device and the like in one collecting and lifting passage, the ball counting and returning device 13 can be continuously used without annoying a game player because the other collecting and lifting passage functions.
