PURPOSE: A wire telephone is provided to enable data communication with other data communication devices such as mobile phones. CONSTITUTION: A wire telephone is connected to a PSTN network, is provided with a voice call module for enabling a voice call, is provided with a modem, and is capable of data communication with other wire telephones, computers or mobile phones via the PSTN network. The wire telephone is provided with an input unit for inputting characters, numbers and symbols, memory and display device for thereby storing and displaying data inputted by a user or data received through the modem. The memory has a communication emulator mounted and is capable of data communication with other computers or telephones by using the communication emulator.
