PURPOSE: An apparatus for processing the backup of a database file in an exchange is provided to make special services, associated with call control, registered in a database during system backup and to make a backup log baked up in a PLD(Processor Loaded Data) file if system backup is completed. CONSTITUTION: A PLD file backup processing apparatus in an exchange is comprised of an operator terminal(100), a CCP(Central Control Processor)(200), a disk PLD(300), an MP(Main Processor)(400). The operator terminal(100) transports a command equivalent to a system backup request to the CCP(200). The CCP(200), controlling the functions associated operation and maintenance in an exchange system, is provided with an SL(System Loader) processor(220), a DBBG(DataBase Backup Group)(240), a DBSG(DataBase Support Group)(260), and a PLD(280). The SL processor(220) executes a control function so that the disk PLD(300) can be backed up to another storage medium. The DBBG(240) provides a delay backup request transferred from the SL processor(220) to the DBSG(260) and stores a backup log provided from the DBSG(260). The DBSG(260), containing a producer processor(261), a local log buffer(263), and a consumer processor(265), provides the backup log to the DBBG(240) according to the delay backup request from the DBBG(240) and supplies a corresponding delay backup release result message to the DBBG(240). The MP(400), comprised of a PLD(480) and a DBSG(460), transfers a backup log and a delay backup result message to the DBBG(240) through an IPC path(500) according to the delay backup request and the delay backup release provided from the DBBG(240).
