PURPOSE: A contact data search method and system is provided to enable a member to open the member's contact information or updated contact information to other permitted persons so that it can prevent leakage of personal information, and prevent trouble in notifying other permitted persons of new contact information every time the contact information is changed. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of a user accessing a web server and passing a membership approval process(500), the web server offering a non-member contact search window in the case that the user is a non-member(520), the web server receiving a search word and personal information of the non-member(522), the web server checking if the search target is a member or non-member(524), the web server searching for permitted contact information among a contact information database in the case that the search target is a member(526), the web server offering the contact information of the search target only if the request non-member is included in the permitted contact information(528,530), the web server offering a member contact search window in the case that the user is a member(540), the web server receiving a search word and extracting member registration information(542), the web server checking if the search target is a registered member(544), the web server searching for contact information registered by the search target member(546), and the web server transmitting the permitted contact information to the search request member if the search request member is included in the contact information registered by the search target member(548,550).
