PURPOSE: A voice recognition home automation system is provided to use conveniently and simply home appliances by inputting a voice to a cordless phone and controlling them for every products having a remote control function and reduce an installation expense for constituting a home network by communicating with the appliances through power lines already installed at home. CONSTITUTION: There are installed a cordless phone or a cordless microphone(1), a general phone set and a mobile phone(2). A control computer(3) receives a signal from the cordless phone or the cordless microphone(1) or from the general phone set and the mobile hone(2). A power line communication(PLC)(4) and an infrared ray repeater(5) receives a signal by the control computer(3). A lamp instrument(6) operates according to a signal from the PLC(4). A home appliance(7) operates according to a signal from the infrared ray repeater(5). The infrared ray repeater(5) includes an infrared ray receiving unit for inputting a remote control command for a pertinent electric appliance, communication interface units for being connected to the control computer under a communication protocol to induce a remote controller code and transmitting the current remote controller code to the control computer, and an infrared ray transmitting unit for outputting a remote controller code signal wirelessly. When a user inputs a voice command according to a general phone set, mobile phone(2) or an ARS, it is inputted through the phone to the control computer(3).
