<p>The device (10) has a mechanic stop rod (42) adjustable so as to adjust drive stroke of an accelerator pedal (100) to a determined value when weight of a driver is supported on the stop rod and on the pedal. The stop rod is adjustable in depth to define a set of positions of the stop rod for the pedal, and a rigid plate is closely fixed to a floor of the vehicle in proximity to the pedal. An external tube longitudinally slides on an internal tube.</p>
