The invention relates to a method for measuring the optical properties of at least two regions (37/39) located at a distance from one another in a transparent and/or diffuse object (5) with a measuring period in the subsecond range, the object (5) being irradiated with a number of measuring beams (45, 46) which corresponds to the number of regions. Each two measuring beams have, with the exception of a specific tolerance in relation to each other, an optical path differential, which corresponds to a geometric distance between two respective regions (37, 39). Each reflection beam of the measuring beams reflected from one of said regions (37, 39) is superimposed interferometrically and detected using a third beam (13; 60) which has a temporal, preferably periodic variation in the optical path length.
