<p>A combine harvester (10) comprises a threshing and separating arrangement (16) mounted to a main frame (11), which includes a generally cylindrical chamber (26) having a generally longitudinal axis and comprising a separating concave assembly (101) and an upper guide cover (121) provided with fins (123) arranged to move harvested crop material along a helical path inside said chamber (26). The threshing and separating arrangement (16) further comprises a rotor assembly (27) mounted for rotation in said chamber (26) and comprising a generally cylindrical rotor body (50) with a separating section (58) associated with said separating concave assembly (101) and having a circumscribed diameter D. The pitch angle α of the rotor fins has been optimised with respect to power requirements and rotor losses.</p> |
