The arrangement has a pedal (2) connected to a brake force simulator (7) via a coupling unit (6) with input shaft (12) and output shaft (13), both extending parallel to the pedal pivot axis (5). A ball ramp arrangement (11) on the facing axial ends of the shafts has input and output plates (14,15) fastened to the shafts. The facing sides of the plates have axial recesses limited by axial ramp profiles and containing balls, to support the plates against each other. Relative turning of the plates causes a turning movement of the input plate to generate a stroke adjustment of the output plate.
