Wind deflecting rail for sloping rear end of vehicle - has leading edge projecting above roof surface and helping to keep rear window clean

The wind deflecting rail is positioned at the point where the vehicle roof meets the sloping rear end of the vehicle to keep the rear window clean. It comprises air-deflecting lamella whose leading edge ends above the roof surface and whose lower end is angled to approx. that of the vehicle's rear end. The lamella are held by a strip-like support extending across the complete width of the rear window region whereby webs projecting from the strip merge into the air deflection rail. The rail can be mounted directly between the rear window glass and the surrounding window frame or can be releasably attached to the beading between glass pane and frame. Where the vehicle has a tail-gate the rail (2) can be attached to the top edge of the door (12) via integral webs (7) extending from a clamping bead (13).
