SILVER HALIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC EMULSION AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic emulsion consisting of triangular flat plate particles of which the extremely thin main surfaces of an extremely high aspect ratio are (111) faces. SOLUTION: More than 60% of the total projection area of the entire silver halide particle in the silver halide photographic emulsion consists of the triangular flat plate particles of >=70% in a silver bromide content of which the main surfaces are the (111) faces. The particle thickness of the triangular flat plate particles is <0.05μm and the diameter of equivalent circle is >=0.6μm.
