PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a defoaming method applicable to the case that a variety of troubles are caused by generated foams and capable of reliably and economically defoaming evenly in a wide range at a low running cost. SOLUTION: A fluid and a nozzle arm are so made as to come into collision against foams to carry out defoaming by rotating the nozzle arm installed above the liquid surface of a foaming liquid and equipped with a plurality of spraying nozzles opened horizontally or diagonally downward and made to be freely rotatable while spraying a fluid through the spraying nozzles.
