<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve target identification capability by creating tracks from all combinations of up- and down-chirp-observed locations. SOLUTION: This target identification device is provided with a radar signal processing means 8 to compress the pulses of reflected waves from a target 4 and obtain up- and down-chirp-observed locations, means 15 for processing combinations of up- and down-chirp observation values to obtain combinations of observed locations and combinations of observed Doppler velocities by combining all the observed locations, a means 10 for processing the correlation of target locations to obtain the effective combination of observed locations and observed Doppler velocities by correlating target locations, a track discrimination processing means 11 to discriminate targets by obtaining the track of a target from the values, a target location estimating means 12 and a target velocity estimating means 13 to estimate the present location and velocity of the target 4 from the track of the target 4, and a target location predicting means 14 to obtain the predicted location of the target 4 and a covariance matrix of predicted errors from the estimated location and estimated velocity.</p> |
