PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an environmental maintenance type revetment projected shape concrete block capable of circulation of water between the concrete blocks laid on a bank and promoting vegetation of plants and living organism. SOLUTION: A projected shape concrete block in a front view and rear view integrally molds a pair of front and rear projection parts 4, 5 on both the short side wall parts 3, 3 of a rectangular cylindrical body 2. A plurality of projection parts 6 for joint separation are formed on the upper side wall parts 3, 3 and the upper face of the cylindrical body 2 from the front side projection parts 4, 4. Shearing key parts 7, 7 are integrally formed on the center part of the upper face of the short side wall parts 3, 3 of the cylindrical body 2. Engaging recess parts 8, 8 engaging the shearing key parts 7, 7 are integrally formed on the center part of the lower face of both the short side wall parts 3, 3 of the cylindrical body 2.
