PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain prevention of a retransfer contamination for a long period in the case of reprinting (double-side printing or multi-color printing) by conveying a printed sheet having at least one side surface printed. SOLUTION: In order to prevent the retransfer contamination of a printed sheet after double-side printing or multi-color printing, a transfer member 19 contacted with the outer peripheral surface of a conveying rotor 16b is moved to a separating position, and the adhesion or the deformation of the rotor 16b or the member 19 due to the contact of the rotor 16b with the member 19 in its rotation stopping state for a long period is prevented. The retransfer contamination by the member 19 is prevented or a sheet conveying performance is maintained for a long period by the prevention of the adhesion or the deformation.
