PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a total reflection absorbing spectrum measuring device provided with a prism damage preventing mechanism, which detects the distance between a prism and an object to be measured and inhibits an operation for causing the damage of the prism by the detection state. SOLUTION: A total reflection absorbing spectrum measuring apparatus 2 has a total reflection prism, a stage 6 on which an object to be measured is installed, a driving mechanism 8 which relatively drives the stage 6 with respect to the prism, an operation means 10 for operating driving and a detection means 12 detecting a close state between the object to be measured, which is placed on the stage 6, and the total reflection prism. A prism damage, preventing mechanism for inhibiting driving which has a danger for damaging the total reflection prism by stopping the driving mechanism when the detection means 12 detects the object to be measured and the total reflection prism are in the close state, is installed. |
