PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a transfer time possibly exceeds the default in a time-out register when packets are transferred through a bus connection device. SOLUTION: The time-out control device is expected to control a time-out at the time of packet transfer between terminal devices connected to different buses, measures the delay time needed from the transmission of a request packet to a terminal device (controller) connected through a bus to the reception of a response packet by a delay measuring means. A delay information list generating means generates a delay information list by making the delay time measured by the delay measuring means correspond to identification information characteristic of each terminal device connected through the bus. Then an information output means reads a delay time out of the delay information list at a request from the terminal device and outputs it to the terminal device.
