PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively perform the measuring operation for the load of a preload spring 51 and the distance L from the bottom part 50 of the inner side face 2a of an input side disc 2A to a step 41 provided at the tip of the input shaft 15. SOLUTION: The load of the preload spring 51 is measured by pressing the top face of the input shaft 15. A cam plate 10 is rotated while the top face of the input shaft 15 is pressed, and the positions of the bottom part 50 and the step 41 are measured in the condition that rollers 12 are positioned at the bottoms of the cam faces 13 and 14, and thereby the distance L between the bottom part 50 and step 41 is determined.
