PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device capable of attaining higher Kanji input efficiency by using the limited number of keys. SOLUTION: A layout for five character image shapes for entering a Kanji to a device is provided. The layout is a cross-shape, and the relative arrangement of five character images is convenient for a user who is familiar with how to write the Kanjis. The layout arrangement is followed by words for aiding the user to memorize and store the positions of five character images on the keyboard. As to the relative positions of the five character images 'Pie' is the left position of the cross shape, 'Dian' is the right position, 'Heng' is the upper position, 'Zhe' is the lower position, and 'Shn' is the center position. These words express the shapes of respective character images and the relative of the character images on the cross shape. For instance, word are 'left-left inclination, right-right inclination, upper-horizontal, lower-bending, and center-veritcal'. It is also availabel for giving melody to these words, to compose a song and the words can be printed on a ROM built in a movable telephone set or the like. |
