PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor that can confirm the operating state of the device by a simple operation without frequently checking the inside of the device and that is easy in maintenance work. SOLUTION: In a normal processing, a control card with recorded bar codes in which information corresponding to each of plural sets of recording media with different size and number of sheets is recorded is prepared, the card is placed on top of a sheet of recording paper when the recording paper is stored in a paper feeding unit 6 of a printer and creation of recording data is permitted by bar code information of the card, however, creation and print of optional recording data are enabled only by the recording paper without mounting the card by simply selecting print service on a top screen to be displayed for fixed time at the start of the device. In addition, the start of a maintenance program can also be performed on the top screen.
