PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishhook designed to simply and surely catch a fish in the case of fishing. SOLUTION: This fishhook 1 is obtained by tilting and forming a tip point part 3 outward from parallel lines to a shank part 4 in the fishhook 1 connected to the tip of a fishing line 2 and formed into the shape of the hook as a whole so as to hook a mouth M, etc., of the fish F. That is, the shape of the fishhook 1 is formed as a whole into a fanwise hook shape in which the interval between the tip point part 3 and the tip of the shank part 4 is gradually increased. Furthermore, the shape of the fishhook 1 is formed into a noncircular cross section such as an elliptical shape or an oval shape in which the direction connecting the shank part 4 to the tip point part 3 is long and the direction perpendicular to the line connecting the shank part 4 to the tip point part 3 is short over the full length of the fishhook 1. Thereby, the fish is readily caught and surely angled. The caught fish is difficult to escape and the disgorging of the fishhook from the caught fish can be facilitated. The fishhook is excellent in usability by synergistic effects thereof.
