<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin compsn. excellent in fixability, anti-offsetting property and presevability and not causing void by using a vinyl copolymer cont. a specified amt. of a specified ethylene polymer and to obtain a toner using the resin compsn. SOLUTION: Tis resin compsn. is made of a vinyl copolymer contg. 3-15wt.% ethylene polymer having 60-100 deg.C m.p. (peak value) by differential scanning calorimeter(DSC), a wt. average mol.wt.(Mw) of 400-900, a number average mol.wt.(Mn) of 400-900 and 6-16cps melt viscosity at 100 deg.C. The fixability of this resin compsn. is improved when value given by subtracting shoulder value by DCS from the m.p. (peak value) by DSC is <=10. The ethylene polymer content of the vinyl copolymer is limited to 3-15wt.%, preferably 5-10wt.% because a lower content deteriorates the fixability of the resin compsn. and a higher content deteriorates the dispersability.</p> |
