manufacture of abrasive tools, possibly finish abrasive treatment of threaded surfaces of screws, mainly with large leading angle of turns. SUBSTANCE: multistrand BUILDUP grinding wheel consists of separate abrasive straight-profile discs assembled on common shaft with axial gap equal to thickness of spacing washers. Height of discs is equal to pitch half of ground threaded surface. Grinding wheel is mounted with use of oblique washers two of which are arranged at each edge. Said washers allow to mount separate abrasive discs by acute angle alpha relative to plane normal to common rotation axis of wheel and to smoothly regulate their inclination angle. In description of invention relations are given for determining inclination angle alpha of abrasive discs and angle between ends of oblique washers. Due to turning of each disc by angle alpha, peripheral edge of each disc oscillates and it covers grinding zone that twice exceeds height of separate disc. It allows to use advantages of intermittent cutting at continuous grinding process. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and quality of grinding without burnouts. 1 cl, 1 dwg
