PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CATV repeater that detects that a noise is intruded to a CATV transmission line and can quickly and automatically inform a CATV monitor controller in a CATV station office about noise information. SOLUTION: Each of CATV repeaters 3-10 placed between CATV transmission lines 31 and 32 branches incoming signals to branched CATV transmission line 41-44 via an outgoing amplifier 12, an incoming amplifier 16, an outgoing branch amplifier 14 and a distributor 20 placed between directional filters 11 and 15 at both ends. The branched CATV transmission lines 41-44 are provide with a detection control circuit 21, which detects a noise, and with a signal adjustment circuit 22 that transmits noise detection information to a CATV monitor controller 1 in the CATV station office via a status monitor unit 18.
