SOLUTION: This exhaust gas radiation monitor measures radiation concentration in an exhaust gas in a nuclear power station, has a sampling piping and device 1 and 2 that introduce the exhaust gas to a low-radiation region, a gas sampler 3 that is provided in the sampling piping with reduced energy state of a gamma rays for passing, a shielding body 4 for shielding radiation that covers the gas sampler, a gamma-ray measurement means that measures a gamma-ray spectrum from the gas sampler, and a storage means that stores a measurement signal from the gamma-ray measurement means, samples the exhaust gas from a gas waste treatment system, and measures the spectrum of the gamma rays from a sampling gas, thus detecting the damage of fuel.
