PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bright image of good quality by suppressing the occurrence of a ghost image with an inexpensive constitution. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal panel 2 is illuminated from behind by an irradiating means. A normal erect image is formed on the liquid crystal panel 2, and the normal erect image in the liquid crystal panel 2 is formed at a prescribed position by a normal elect image forming means 3 constituted of two convex lens groups 4 and 5 constituted of a plurality of convex lenses, and the normal elect image is enlarged and displayed on a screen 8 as a normal erect image by an image enlarging means 6 constituted of a concave lens and a convex lens 7. As for the lens surface of each convex lens constituting the convex lens groups 4 and 5, the surface is formed to an aspherical shape more gentle than the spherical shape from the lens apex to the outer periphery, and the light refraction at the outer periphery of the lens is reduced as compared with that in the case the lens is formed to the spherical shape, then, the occurrence of the ghost image on the screen 8 is prevented even in the case expanded bright light is made incident on the normal erect image forming means 3. |
