<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network address takeover method of a duplex system, which avoids a danger that plural systems having the same IP addresses of the same MAC addresses on the same network and realizing the minimum number of LAN adapters required for takeover in the takeover of the network address of the duplex system and to provide the duplex system having a network address takeover function, and a recording medium. SOLUTION: When a standby system takes over an IP address, a MAC address registered in a takeover LAN adapter is used. The change of the MAC address corresponding to the IP address by which takeover is executed is reflected on an ARP table that the system connected to a network has by using an ARP request packet. The transmission source IP address which is set in the ARP request packet and the transmission source MAC address are changed and therefore plural IP addresses are taken over.</p> |
