PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make generable an inquiry SQL even not comprehending the physical constitution or SQL grammar of a data base by applying a job name corresponding to the physical name of the data base or category for sorting that physical name. SOLUTION: The job name familiar to a user is added to a column name and such job names are displayed in place of column names. The column and job names can be provided in ratio of one-to-N so that the user can most intuitively select a name easy to comprehend. By adding category information to each of job names and selecting a category suited to a purpose, the job name belonging thereto can be acquired. The job name is added even to a simple calculation expression and registered on a repository so that labor for inputting the calculation expression of high use frequency can be omitted. Further, the relation of the data base is acquired by automatically analyzing the relation information of a data dictionary. Thus, the user can generate the inquiry SQL without referring to or inputting physical constitution information.
