PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piping device for a mixing valve which does not adversely affect a connection part of a branch pipe to the mixing valve by absorbing the expansion and contraction of the branch pipe on a steam or hot water pipe side. SOLUTION: ON-OFF valves 21 and 22 are provided between the mixing valve M connected to the steam or hot water pipe 50a and a water supply pipe 60a and these pipes. The ON-OFF valves are simultaneously opened/closed by an opening/closing lever 23. An expansion joint 1 is disposed above the ON-OFF valve on the steam or hot water passage side. The expansion joint 1 comprises a union screw part 2 having a spring receiving surface on its inner circumference, a spring to be placed on the spring receiving surface, a pipe 5 for connecting the steam or hot water pipe which is movable in the axial direction in a union flange part 4 and constantly urged upward by the spring, and a union nut 6 to connected the union flange part 4 to the union screw part 2.
