PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a template-matching method, capable of exactly detecting a position of a template image, even if plural density distributions close to that of the template image exist in background in an inputted image or in the inputted image. SOLUTION: In this template-matching method for detecting the position of the template image in the inputted image by performing template matching to a gradation or binary inputted image through the use of a gradation or binary template image, template-matching is performed by setting an inputted image 104 and a template image 108 as an integrated image by providing an image integrating means 103 (107) to generate the integrated image 104 from a distance image 102, having the same visual field as that of the gradation image and a gradation image 101. |
