PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rail cross section measuring device capable of performing measurements even if a slit beam is separated. SOLUTION: A rail 1 is irradiated with a plurality of slit beams 13a and 13b of different directions of irradiation to pick up images 15a and 15b and to obtain the cross sectional images of the rail 1. Its distinction is performed by a laser beam and an interference filter in combination. Then the data 41a of the picked-up images is subjected to coordinate transformation processing, etc., and a plurality of groups of coordinate transformation parameters 44a are held correspondingly to the plurality of slit beams.
