PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a submarine communication system not requiring much expense and a landing stage for it. SOLUTION: The landing stage 4 of this system has double cables 6, 7 installed at an interval between an underwater branch unit 5 and an on-land submarine line terminal end station 8 in order to reduce a danger of communication interruption in the submarine communication system at a coast area at which damages are most frequently caused. Both the cables 6, 7 are always used to transmit signals, and this invention discloses various switching modes including a mode realized by a blocking amplifier 18. |
