PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate difference between a turbine rotation speed and an engine rotation speed and to prevent backlash shock due to tip-in even when a damper clutch is released by the tip-in, by operating the damper clutch during LFU in a damper clutch control method of an automatic transmission mounting vehicle. SOLUTION: The damper clutch control method comprises a step of sensing throttle opening amount, the engine rotation speed and the turbine shaft rotation speed, a step of performing lift foot up gear change due to decrease of throttle opening amount, a step of determining whether difference between the engine rotation speed and the turbine shaft rotation speed is lower than a set value, a step of controlling the damper clutch for a certain period with a constant duty when the difference between the engine rotation speed and the turbine shaft rotation speed becomes lower than the set value, and a step of controlling the damper clutch with an engagement duty after the duty control of the damper clutch for the certain period with the constant duty. |
