PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas shutoff device which can securely identify a normal operation and malfunction for shutting off gas by the difference of the display color of a display means. SOLUTION: A gas shut off device is composed of a shutoff valve 4 installed in a gas flow passage, a magnetic detection means for shutoff 8, which outputs a shutoff signal, a magnetic detection means for restoration 10, which outputs a restoration signal, a shutoff display means 11 displaying shutoff to an outer part when the shutoff signal is received, a restoration display means 12 displaying restoration by a color different from the shutoff display means 11 when the restoration signal is received and a control means 9 outputting a signal for closing a shutoff valve to the shutoff valve 4 when the shutoff signal is received, outputting the shutoff display signal to the shutoff display means 11, outputting a shutoff valve opening signal to the shutoff valve 4 when the restoration signal is received.
