PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a positive electrode for the secondary cell which simplifies significantly a process for manufacturing the positive electrode having an excellent performance as a thin film. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a positive electrode for the secondary cell comprises coating a sol formed using at least a metal alkoxide and/or metal hydroxide as a raw material on a collector and calcinating it to form a positive electrode active material of metal oxide.
