PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LCD illuminating device, which is produced inexpensively and in which top-emitting LEDs can be precisely positioned with respect to a light guide. SOLUTION: A LCD illuminating device of the present invention includes a substrate 2 disposed in the rear of a light guide serving to guide light from LED to LCD. The substrate 2 has lands 2b for side-emitting LEDs, and lands 2a for connection to a subsidiary substrate 3 having top-emitting LEDs attached thereto. Also, the light guide has a slit and claw for positioning the subsidiary substrate 3. |
