<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner to reduce the generation of noises at the time of starting operation of a drain pump. SOLUTION: This air conditioner comprises a drain pump 4 being of a type to vary capacity by control of the number of revolutions, and a drain pump control part 6a to control the drain pump 4. The drain pump control part 6a starts operation with the given minimum number of revolutions and gradually increases the number of revolutions from the give minimum number of revolutions according to a lift. By decreasing the number of revolutions of the drain pump 4 during starting of operation to the minimum number of revolutions when a lift of a drain route is low, the generation of noises due to mixture of air and drain in the drain pump 4 is reduced.</p> |
