<p>A process for producing 1,1,1,3,3-pentafluoropropane which comprises a liquid-phase reaction step in which a 1,1,1,3,3-pentahalopropane (wherein at least one of the halogen atoms is not fluorine) is fluorinated with HF in a reactor in the presence of an antimony pentahalide as a catalsyt to obtain a reaction mixture comprising 1,1,1,3,3-pentafluoropropane and the catalyst, wherein the fluorination is conducted at a reaction temperature lower than 50°C.</p> |
