PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a piston position detecting sensor provided in the periphery of a tube from the cutting liquid. SOLUTION: After fitting a cylindrical cover member 41 on a tube 1 of a clamp cylinder, a head side cover member 42 is fastened to a head cover 19 by a fitting screw 51. A tip of the cylindrical cover member 41 is brought in pressure-contact with a gasket of a back surface of a rod cover, and a front end surface of the cylindrical cover member 41 is watertightly sealed. A cable 111 of a sensor 110 is drawn outside through a cable drawing member 45 while keeping the watertightness between the sensor cover 40. Since the cylinder tube 1 having the sensor 110 is perfectly waterproofed by the sensor cover 40, the sensor 110 is not wet by the cutting liquid even in the condition that the cutting liquid is always splashed from outside.
