PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hardly crush the inserting port of a recording medium and to keep a drive device as a rigid body, even when an external force is loaded to the drive device. SOLUTION: Concerning a drive device 1 having a cartridge inserting/ejecting port (inserting port) 54 for inserting/ejecting an FD cartridge 4, this cartridge inserting/ejecting port is opened/closed by a door 55 provided so as to freely turn and an upper edge 55b of the door is formed on a slope, so as not to turn the door in the direction of opening, when the external force to crush the cartridge inserting/ejecting port is loaded.
