PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To handle a recording medium, having a reversible thermal sheet together with a recording medium having no reversible thermal sheet, without mix-ups. SOLUTION: A recording medium 32, which is loaded in an information recording device to record information, is equipped with a recording part for recording information, a medium protecting part which contains the recording part to protect it, the reversible thermal sheet 32a which is provided at the medium projection part and can rewrite and print information regarding the information recorded in the recording part, and a discrimination means 32c which makes the information recording device to know that the medium protection part is equipped with the reversible thermal sheet 32a.
