GLASS LOAD RECEIVING STRUCTURE OF VERTICAL BAND WINDOW

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass load receiving structure of vertical band windows capable of following the great interlayer displacement of a building even though a horizontal joint between upper and lower glass panes can be made even narrower (slenderer). SOLUTION: The vertical band windows have a sealing joint interposed between the upper and lower glass panes 1A and 1B. Each of the glass panes 1A and 1B is supported from below by a glass load receiving member 3 supported against a mullion 2. The glass load receiving members 3 are vertically movable along guide grooves 4a. A movable member 7 restricts downward movement of each glass load receiving member 3 beyond a predetermined position.
