PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collector promoting dust catching efficiency by guiding and controlling the flow of the flowing water for the flowing water flowing into the dust remover for catching dust in the flowing water and effectively increasing strength and to improve a dust collecting method making use of the dust collector opened parallel with the flowing water. SOLUTION: For a dust collector equipped with an opening section located at the front receiving the flowing water from the upper stream containing dust and a screen passing through the flowing water downward to the lower stream while catching the dust, a guide member placed backward of the opening section, receiving the flow of the flowing water and guiding the flow of the flowing water toward the screen is provided, and a guide wall for guiding the flow is provided to an upstream side of the dust remover opened parallel with the flowing water and a downstream side ahead.
