PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold capable of advantageously molding an ophthalmic lens article having a desired shape at as low a cost as possible with excellent workability and a method of manufacturing the ophthalmic lens article. SOLUTION: At least a part of the cavity surface of the molding cavity of one mold 10 comprising a resin material among first and second molds 10, 12 forming a molding cavity of a shape molding an ophthalmic lens article 34 by mold registering is constituted of a modified treatment surface modified by the direct irradiation with ultraviolet rays so as to bond the ophthalmic lens article 34 molded in the molding cavity to the modified treatment surface of the one mold 10 to held the same thereto at the time of mold opening of the first and second molds 10, 12.
