PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a shape of a form grinding wheel which can ensure the total surface touch on a CBN grinding wheel even when the dress cut is small, increase the service life of the CBN grinding wheel by improving the dressing accuracy, and obtain the highly efficient grinding. SOLUTION: In the method for forming a shape of the form grinding wheel to the CBN(Cubic Boron Nitride) grinding wheel 5 using a form rotary dresser 3, the positional deviation of the CBN grinding wheel to the rotary dresser is measured and corrected through the contact detection to achieve the dressing.
