PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the cleaning property by removing a water-soluble lubricating oil adhered to a surface of a very small wire in a drawing process in the whole circumferential direction to suppress the pollution of a cleaning solution. SOLUTION: A very small wire cleaning apparatus comprises two capstans 36 and 37 provided facing each other to stretch the very small wire 7 drawn to a desired wire diameter thereover, cleaning tanks 23, 24 and 25 storing the cleaning solution 22 to clean the very small wire 7 provided corresponding to each very small wire 7 to be stretched between the two capstans 36 and 37, guide capstans 26, 28 and 30 which are provided in the cleaning tanks 23, 24 and 25 to guide the very small wire 7 in the cleaning solution 22, ultrasonic oscillators 27, 29 and 31 which are provided in the cleaning tanks 23, 24 and 25 facing the very small wire 7 traveling in the cleaning solution 22, and dryers 32, 33 and 34 provided in the vicinity of an outlet of the very small wire 7 of the cleaning tanks 23, 24 and 25 to dry the surface of the very small wire 7 traveling from the cleaning tanks 23, 24 and 25.
