PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaning filter consisting of the nonwoven fabric of at least two layers, which is high in dust capturing capacity and high in capturing efficiency. SOLUTION: In the air cleaning filter for cleaning air in which a base fabric consisting of the nonwoven fabric for capturing relatively large particles and a surface layer consisting of an electret nonwoven fabric for capturing fine particulates are laminated and integrated, the nonwoven fabric constituting the base fabric is constituted with there kinds-mixed fiber of (A) 5-30 wt.% fiber having <5 denier fiber diameter, (B) 10-40 wt.% fiber having >=5 denier and <10 denier fiber diameter (C) 20-60 wt.% fiber having >=10 denier fiber diameter.
